SMS GUERRILLA PROJECTIONS FOR WARNER MUSIC UK'S BAND 'THE STREETS'

Troika was hired by Warner Music to project guerrilla messages during the band’s latest concert. The messages, written by lead singer Mike Skinner, included ‘too much booze in his bladder’ or ‘why can’t we get along… have a little dance to some songs’.

The reaction from the public was amazing… We were projecting Skinner’s messages, moving up and down the venue, passing in the crowd, hiding behind walls.

Everyone was wondering where those messages were coming from...

Among the few people that managed to locate us, most of them started questioning us about the strange artefact we were carrying. The usual reaction was then: ‘Where can I buy one then?’ …

'A marketing tool of this nature is not only imaginative and strikingly original but at its core is an effective means of relaying a message that has more resonance than more traditional below the line marketing methods.'
